Math & Science Tutoring

Tutoring sessions focus on understanding course material and building confidence in math and science subjects. Sessions are structured but flexible, with time for questions, guided practice, and review.

Tutoring is a good fit for students who:

  • Want clearer explanations of material
  • Need help preparing for tests or exams
  • Benefit from working through problems together
  • Want steady, consistent support during the school year

I specialize in math and science at the high school level.

Executive Function & Academic Coaching

Many students understand the material but struggle with starting, organizing, or following through on their work. Executive function support focuses on how students work rather than just what they know.

These sessions help students:

  • Break assignments into manageable steps
  • Plan and prioritize work
  • Estimate time realistically
  • Reduce overwhelm and avoidance
  • Build consistent study routines

Executive function sessions are especially helpful for students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or chronically behind despite understanding the content.

Body Doubling Sessions

Body doubling is a quiet, structured way to support focus and follow-through. During these sessions, we work alongside each other on Zoom in a calm, low-pressure environment.

What a Session Looks Like

At the start of the session, we:

  • Decide what the student will work on
  • Clarify tasks or break them into steps if needed
  • Set a realistic goal for the session

During the session:

  • The student works independently
  • I remain present and available
  • We check in briefly if questions or obstacles come up

At the end of the session:

  • We review what was completed
  • We decide on next steps

Many students find it easier to focus simply by having someone else present and working at the same time.

Body doubling sessions are helpful for:

  • Starting assignments
  • Staying focused
  • Working through overwhelming tasks
  • Homework, studying, or writing
  • Planning upcoming work
